Though it's been so many days, so many miles away

Sometimes all the things you have are less than what you lack
And sometimes you have to burn your eyes before your sight comes back
But I didn't know, so I had to leave
Find all the things I thought were out there
When all I ever wanted was at the start of my own track

Maybe all the tears I cried only served to break the ice
Though I had to learn the hard way
I won't have to learn it twice

I'm going back to find the place I still see in my mind
Then I'll try to put together all the pieces I can find
